Along with skies, photographing trees has always been a favourite pastime of mine. I enjoy their sculptural form and it makes an interesting subject for drawing. Especially when in black & white it’s a good starting point to studying chiaroscuro.

So, if you’re ever short of a nude model and want to get some drawing practice, have a look at a tree instead.
