Although I’ve always liked long-distance running when at school, I never thought of doing a marathon. Still don’t really as I’m no longer that fit and 26 miles is just 25.5 miles too long. I mention this as It’s surprisingly taken me a long time to just go and spectate at the London Marathon.

My semi-enthusiasm meant I got there late and the place was pretty much packed. Lots of people means not a lot of photo opportunities. I managed a few in the end but intend to go again next year more prepared. Needless to say my respect and admiration goes to anyone doing the marathon. It looked grueling but I’m sure worth every mile.
